I’m an advocate for getting naked. Especially with your truth. Last week in Barcelona, and for the second time in my life, I found myself on a nudist beach. It wasn’t intentional, but that’s where I ended up. I took this as a sign from the Universe to get naked more, both on the outside and on the inside. But let’s start with naked on the outside, shall we? A Barcelona Beach : Playa Mar Bella The beaches along the coast of Barcelona are as gorgeous as the people. We chose Playa Mar Bella after much deliberation and research. On the long train ride in from our AirBnb, we pictured a beautiful, soft, sandy beach with chair + umbrella rentals in front of a little beachside snack bar. Imagine our surprise as we descend the stairs to the beach to encounter is a 60-year old Spaniard with all of his…

I’m leaving again. I’m getting lost, so that I can find myself a little stronger. If you’ve been one of the lovelies for a while, then you have seen the trajectory of this last year. But, if you’re newer to the blog, let me introduce you to someone. This is me in October 2016. This is me at the start of a trip to California. It my first souladventure before souladventure was even a thing that I created. In those three weeks I transformed as I traveled up the coast. I remembered who I used to be. I reshaped my beliefs and values. But afterward, I didn’t stop. There was the England + Portugal trip for a month in January/February. I went to the Dominican Republic for 3 weeks in April, and turned around in July for a week in New Orleans and a week in NYC. Now I’m heading…

first impressions I sat in a white 7-passenger van with seven giggly, smily souls. We pulled up to the sign in large purple letters : Hard Rock Resort and Casino. They opened the gates and we entered a paradise hidden by massive stucco walls that separate the resort from the world. My jaw dropped. I did it. I was here. As I stood in the lobby I was serenaded by Dominican men dressed up as members of the YMCA. I circled and noticed food in every direction. I heard my name as my best friend and business partner collided into me. Our jaws dropped. We did it. We were here. I opened the door between the the crowded lobby and the balcony overlook. The only barrier was this floor-to-ceiling glass, and as I stepped to the edge, I felt tingles up and down my body. For as far as I could see there…

souladventure (n.) the bold and brave act of taking to the world with just enough of a plan to create breakthroughs, change your life, and seek your soul. An idea is like a butterfly. When it’s ready to be known, to be cared for, to be born, it flutters onto the shoulder of the soul it hopes will bring it forth into the world. Souladventure is my butterfly. I didn’t understand it at first. I didn’t know what it would become. I didn’t realize that it would change my world. I never dreamed that it would inspire so many others to simply consider doing the thing (let alone actually DO the thing). I sit in awe as I’m seeing the word used in my circles across social media. The movement is growing. If you’re sitting here reading this right now, then you, my darling, are a founder. So let me start at…

So you’re going to a country that you’ve never been to. You’re stoked. This is going to be so fucking dope. You’re in a space of certainty, because you got this! If you’re doing something that bold + brave, then you simply HAVE to come at it with your most ferocious inner badass. Here’s what you need to know so that you have some simple smarts to back, back, back it up! 1. Carry a backpack. Life is going to be a helluva lot easier with two free hands, babe. Just trust me on this one. 2. Don’t eat the plane food. Or the airport food. Or the hot dog stand outside the airport food. If you’re putting your body through the stress of travel, then you need to nourish it properly to combat that stress. 3. Do eat SOMETHING. Ideally, you’d be packing snacks to bring with you. Depending…
